An arrest warrant has been issued for a man as part of an ongoing investigation into a Kitchener shooting. The Waterloo Regional Police Service are trying to find 32-year-old Anthony Gillespie, who is known to visit the Toronto area. He is wanted for robbery with a firearm, attempted murder while using a firearm and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order. The shooting happened around 2:10 a.m. on Aug. 16 in the Goudies Lane and Queen Street North area. A 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound was taken to hospital in critical condition. At the time, police believed it was a targeted incident and they said they were looking for three Black male suspects. If anyone sees Gillespie, they are urged to call 911. He should not be approached.
