Police in Guelph are asking for the public’s help identifying a motorcyclist who fled from a traffic stop last week. Police said shortly before 2 p.m. Friday, a member of the Guelph Police Service traffic unit was patrolling near Kortright Road West and Edinburgh Road South when he observed a blue motorcycle “being driven dangerously and speeding.” “The officer followed the motorcycle and attempted to pull it over, however the operator fled and was last seen on College Avenue West towards the Hanlon Expressway,” police said in a media release. The motorcycle is believed to be an older-model Suzuki GSX-R. Anyone with information is asked to call Const. Andrew Hildebrandt at 519-824-1212, ext. 7263.
