A major BC Ferries terminal in Nanaimo was shut down and ferry traffic redirected due to a spill of hydraulic oil on Monday.
Duke Point terminal was closed for hours as crews dealt with the spill, and passengers were redirected to Departure Bay terminal in the meantime.
Foot passengers were provided with transportation to Departure Bay and traffic delays expected due to the shuffle, the company said.
It's unclear how much fluid spilled, but an orange boom appeared to be placed in the water arround the terminal.
Current conditions can be found on BC Ferries' website.
