The leaders of the New Democrat and Green parties have delivered a letter to the province's Lieutenant Governor saying they're ready to govern.

John Horgan and Andrew Weaver arrived at Government House in an electric car to drop off a copy of the agreement signed by the 41 New Democrat and three Green MLAs, confirming the two parties intend to join forces to run B.C.

They have just one more seat in the legislature than the Liberals but Horgan did not answer questions today about where a new government would find a Speaker.

Premier Christy Clark said yesterday that she would not resign but would recall the legislature soon where the opposition parties could present a confidence motion to topple her government after 16 years in power.
