Three people have been injured in a head-on crash that shut down a highway near Black Creek for hours Tuesday.
The two-vehicle crash happened on Highway 19A, also known as the Old Island Highway, just south of Hamm Road around 1 p.m. .
While it's unclear exactly what happened, officials said three people were injured. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
While motorists were blocked from the route, temporary detours were put in place via Hamm Road or Piercy Road.
Drive BC reported that Highway 19A reopened just after 3:30 p.m.
