A 92-year-old Comox man died in hospital after being struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk.
The man was crossing at the intersection of Torrence at Guthrie roads in Comox around 6:20 p.m. Sunday when it happened, according to RCMP.
Paramedics rushed the man to hospital, but he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver involved stayed at the scene and was cooperative with police.
Comox Valley RCMP’s Municipal Traffic Section, an RCMP Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction team and the BC Coroners Service are all investigating the incident.
