Conservation officers are investigating after a bear was decapitated and dumped on a Haida Gwaii shoreline.
Investigators believe the black bear was slain about five days ago before it was left just above the high-tide line east of Sandspit.
The Conservation Officer Service is now calling on anyone who knows or saw something to come forward with information.
It said that Haida Gwaii is a large land base, and the agency relies on the public to report any suspicious activity.
