Emergency crews were called to an odd scene in the Bow River Thursday after a truck was found in the water. The Calgary Fire Department (CFD), Calgary Police Service and Alberta Emergency Health Services were called to an area near the Zoo Bridge around 6:35 a.m. According to CFD, a pickup truck was spotted in the water, so a rescue boat was dispatched. “Crews confirmed that there were no occupants in the vehicle,” said CFD public information officer Alex Kwan in a statement. “A hazardous materials truck also responded to assess the water for any leaking fluids in the water.” It’s not clear how the truck ended up in the water.
