BC Ferries has released video showing off a massive art project on its newest vessel, the Salish Orca.
The video shows the ferry being wrapped in a massive decal adorned with the artwork of Coast Salish artist, Darlene Gait.
The wrap features a pod of orcas that appears as a family moving through the water but Ferry officials say it also has valuable maintenance properties by protecting the coating on the vessel.
BC Ferries' first natural gas powered ferry will leave Poland this fall and is expected to arrive in B.C. by the end of the year.
