Canada will shine in the spotlight on country music’s biggest stage and a national radio host whose show airs on the region’s country radio station will be a part of it. The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville will host the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) to recognize the awards show’s 50 years on Oct. 29. To celebrate, several top Canadian country musicians will take the stage along with some guest announcers. Fresh off the heels of two top honours from the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) awards, national country radio personality Shannon Ella will take centre stage. Ella is the host of the midday show on the Pure Country radio network including Pure Country 106 in Midland, which she often records at the CTV News Barrie studios. She’s also a four-time CCMA award winner, with two of her wins from Saturday night’s show. Canadian country music artist Jess Moskaluke will make her Grand Ole Opry debut, a invitation made live on stage by Ella at the CCMAs. Other performing artists will be Terri Clark, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Gord Bamford, Paul Brandt, Tami Neilson, Brett Kissel and Tenille Arts. The celebration will air on Pure Country Radio on Nov. 6 at 7 p.m.
