Amherstburg mayoral candidates gathered for a debate on Thursday. Kyle Horner hosted incumbent candidate Michael Prue, along with contenders Chris Gibb and Bill Fryer. Over the course of the one-hour, commercial free debate, Horner asked the candidates about policing, taxes, downtown parking, housing, infrastructure spending, historical preservation, and the fate of the now idled Diageo factory. Two other candidates are running to be the next deputy mayor while 15 people are in the running for one of five seats on council. Election Day is Monday, Oct. 26.
