Owen Sound Police are reminding drivers that it is in fact illegal to drive with obstructions of the view of the front or sides of their car. On Wednesday, the police service shared a photo on social media of an SUV with large material sticking out of the sunroof and the passenger side of the vehicle. “A concerned citizen asked if this was illegal,” the police service said in the post, adding “yes, this is illegal.” “Items in the way of seeing the road, mirrors or traffic is illegal,” the police service said. Rather than driving material around in an unsafe way, the police service instead recommends residents use free shipping options, if available.
