For Barrie residents, Monday morning started off with mild temperatures and dense cloud cover. According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), those conditions are expected to persist throughout the week. Although ECCC is not predicting rain on Monday, the weather organization says a 20 per cent chance of precipitation is in effect all day long. Temperatures are expected to be above seasonal, however, with an estimated daytime high of 20 C and an overnight low of 10 C. ECCC says this time of year, the seasonal daytime high is approximately 17 C and the overnight low is 6 C. The weather agency says residents can expect a “moderate” index rating of five for the day and patches of fog may develop overnight.
