A security breach by Delta Airlines caused travel chaos for passengers at Victoria International Airport on Saturday.
At approximately 8 a.m., Delta Airlines cancelled one of its flights, airport officials tell CTV News.
It then mistakenly returned checked luggage to the affected passengers in the holding room where checked luggage isn’t allowed.
The director of security and terminal operations, Ian West, says the mistake forced officials to evacuate the holding area, clear it of the checked bags and send passengers through security screening a second time.
We appreciate the patience and cooperation from all passengers as we rescreen everyone after a security breach this morning.

So far passengers at #yyj in good spirits if not a little freaked out. Minimal info though being provided by airport and *some* airlines
