Fire crews and police are trying to determine what started a blaze at a house under construction in Saanich on Friday.
Firefighters were called to a property in the 400-block of Sparton Road around 4:30 p.m.
When crews arrived they found smoke and flames coming from a two-storey home that was undergoing renovations.
The house was vacant at the time and no one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Damage to the house is estimated at $100,000.
