Cole Perfetti will be a Winnipeg Jet for another five seasons, as the team announced they have signed him to a contract extension. Perfetti, who was a restricted free agent, has been signed to a five-year deal with $6 million a season. The forward was originally taken 10th overall by the Jets in the 2020 NHL Draft and has since become a regular in Winnipeg’s lineup. He finished last season with 12 goals and 20 assists. His best year with Winnipeg was the 2024-25 season where he scored 18 goals and 32 assists for 50 points. He also played hero in the Stanley Cup playoffs that season, scoring the tying goal in the dying seconds of Game 7 in the first round against the St. Louis Blues – a game the Jets went on to win in overtime. Perfetti also represented Canada at the 2021 World Championship, where he helped the team secure a gold medal with two goals in 10 games.
