A man was seriously injured after being stabbed in the parking lot of a gas station in Abbotsford Thursday, according to authorities. First responders were called to the scene in the 1900 block of McCallum Road just before 5:30 p.m., the Abbotsford Police Department said in a statement. “Upon arrival, officers located the victim a 49-year-old man and immediately provided medical assistance. The victim sustained serious non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital,” the statement from the department said. A s28-year old suspect, who police say is a man known to law enforcement, was arrested nearby. “The investigation is in its early stages as investigators work to determine the circumstances leading up to the incident. There are no ongoing public safety concerns in the area related to this incident,” the statement from police concluded.
