A 60-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving after he allegedly crashed into multiple vehicles in southeast Vancouver, and then ran away. Officers were called to an area near East 49th Avenue and Elliot Street just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday, according to a news release from the Vancouver Police Department. Police say witnesses reported that a car had crashed into several vehicles, which were occupied at the time. The driver then reportedly left the scene on foot. Despite substantial damage, no injuries were reported. Police say impairment is not believed to be a factor. Wayne Tran has been charged with one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and one count of failing to stop after an accident. He has been arrested and remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
