A former psychologist has been handed a six-month suspension after his professional college concluded he “lacked competence and/or had committed acts of misconduct.” The College of Health and Care Professionals of B.C. began investigating Grant Raymond Bogyo after receiving a complaint about him in late February 2025. Bogyo consented to the college’s order against him last month, and the order was recently published online. The CHCPBC’s online directory of licensees indicates Bogyo’s licence expired on Dec. 31, 2025 and was not renewed. According to the order, the college’s investigation committee found that Bogyo had “failed to exercise appropriate professional judgment, ensure the accuracy of professional communications, remain within the limits of the available information and scope of practice, and appropriately manage their role in matters affecting custody and access proceedings.” The order does not elaborate on the nature of the underlying incident or incidents that led to Bogyo’s misconduct. “The committee determined that it would be appropriate to dispose of the concerns identified by directing the deputy registrar to make the order set out below with the respondent’s consent,” the order reads. Under the terms of the order, Bogyo’s licence will be suspended for six months, beginning if and when he begins “any future relicensure.” At that time, Bogyo will also be required to complete the “PROBE: Ethics and Boundaries Program,” at his own expense, within six months.
