After a video of a dump truck passing a stopped school bus in Abbotsford circulated on social media last week, police say they have found and ticketed the driver. The video shows the bus had its red lights flashing and stop signs out, meaning other vehicles are legally required to stop so children can get on and off safely. The Abbotsford Police Department says it launched an investigation in response to “significant public concern and discussion online,” and worked with the local school district to obtain video from the school bus. Police were able to identify the dump truck driver and issued a $368 fine for failing to stop.
