One person was injured in a targeted shooting in Surrey’s East Clayton neighbourhood on Saturday morning, according to police. The Surrey Police Service said its officers were notified about a shooting at a home near 74 Avenue and 184 Street just after 8 a.m. When police arrived, the shooting victim was already being transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the shooter had left the area. Surrey police said the shooting is believed to be targeted, but not extortion-related. The incident is now under investigation by the SPS’s major crime section, who police added will be in the area collecting evidence.
