Police say two suspects are facing numerous charges after they allegedly trafficked young victims in Hamilton and Toronto. In a news release issued Wednesday, Hamilton Police Service said their investigation began in May after receiving information about “multiple youths” being trafficked in the two cities. It’s alleged that between March and June of this year, 27-year-old Toronto resident Shemar Walters trafficked the victims, advertised their sexual services online, and collected the proceeds. Another suspect, 20-year-old Brampton resident Ethan Gangasingh, is alleged to have assisted Walters in procuring the victims. “Hamilton Police are releasing images of both accused as investigators believe there may be additional survivors who have not yet come forward,” police said in a statement. Both suspects are charged with two counts each of procuring for sexual services under 18, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and proceeds of crime under $5,000, among several other offences. Walters is separately charged with two counts of trafficking in persons under the age of 18.
