Today’s weather is all over the place! I got a text just after noon today that it was hailing hard near Glen Lake in Langford. Sure enough, the storm cell appeared on radar.
As quickly as it appeared, it was gone. Today’s hail comes after another chilly start to the day. People all over Vancouver Island woke up to temperatures just a few degrees above freezing.
Unsettled weather over Vancouver Island is being driven by a trough of low pressure aloft, allowing showers to develop from time to time in between sunny breaks.
Precipitation is spotty at sea level for the rest of the day and tomorrow, but with freezing levels hovering around 1000m, flurries are expected at Mt. Washington overnight and early Thursday, giving today’s sunny scene a dusting of snow.
Sunshine returns on Friday, but it’s short lived. Showers will be back - depending on where you are - for the weekend.
