The Prince Albert RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating two young girls who’ve been missing for several days. Eleven-year-old Samantha Ross-Bird and 13-year-old Sofija Hila were last seen around 12:00 a.m. Aug. 15 in the RM of Buckland, near Wahpeton First Nation. RCMP have checked several places the pair have been known to visit and are following up on tips. Samantha is described as standing 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown, shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing black clothing. Sofija is also described as standing 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown and blonde shoulder-length hair with bangs. She was also wearing black clothing when she was last seen. Investigators believe the girls may be together and may have travelled to the Prince Albert area. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
