A man and woman face charges after assaulting two police officers in Saskatoon. At about 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 25, patrol officers were called to the 1500 block of 20th Street West to arrest a man in connection to an assault earlier this month. When police arrived, the service says the man punched an officer. He reportedly encouraged a female bystander to help, and she kicked another officer. Officers used a conducted energy weapon and took the man into custody. A 40-year-old man is charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and impersonation. A 30-year-old woman is charged with assaulting police officer.
