A traffic stop south of Saskatoon led to drug and weapons charges after Corman Park police say officers found cash, weapons and drug paraphernalia in a vehicle. Corman Park Police Service says officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 219 on Friday after seeing it travelling 50 km/h in a 100 km/h zone and failing to stay in its lane. During the investigation, police say officers seized $3,600 in cash, two scales with cocaine residue, hundreds of small baggies, unstamped tobacco and other drug paraphernalia. Police also seized bear spray, a collapsible baton, a prohibited knife and a BB gun. The driver has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and weapons offences. Police say the driver also failed a standardized field sobriety test and received a 21-day driver’s licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
