Regina police are investigating numerous incidents that involved bladed weapons over the long weekend. Several victims suffered from stab and or slash wounds, but none of the attacks are believed to be connected. The first took place on Friday around 9:10 p.m. when a man was reportedly slashed in an attempted robbery. According to a Tuesday news release, it happened near Princess Street and Dewdney Avenue. Police say the suspect was riding a bicycle and fled the area. The second incident took place Saturday close to midnight on the 3900 block of Rae Street. A man reported being slashed with a machete by two male suspects. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The third incident happened Sunday around 6:30 p.m. and featured two victims. Police say they found a man and woman with stab wounds on the 3100 block of 5th Avenue where they were called to.
