On Wednesday, the Valley Zoo announced its three Arctic wolf pups had been named Timber, Cedar and Olive. The wolf pups were the first born at the zoo in decades. They were welcomed by parents Tundra and Aspen – a feat considering male Tundra was a “geriatric” 14-years-old. According to a social media post from the zoo, male pup Timber is the leader of the little pack. His brother Cedar is more cautious while sister Olive is very independent, when she isn’t hanging around her dad. The pups weighed in at about 31 pounds at their last checkup in August, where all three were given clean bills of health. With files from CTV News Edmonton’s Steven Dyer
