The Ottawa Police Service says a man has died after his vehicle struck a home in Orléans. Emergency crews responded to a call for a vehicle crashing into a home on Duvernay Drive around 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday. Photos from the scene show a badly damaged vehicle on the lawn of a home, along with damage to a pillar at the front of the home. Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson Marc-Antoine Deschamps told CTV News Ottawa the driver was found suffering from cardiac arrest after the crash. He was transported to hospital for treatment. Police later said the man was pronounced dead in hospital. No other injuries were reported. The Ottawa Police Service’s fatal collision investigations unit is on scene as officers work to determine what led to the collision. Police say Des Épinettes Avenue is currently closed between Duval Lane and Tenth Line Road.
