A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a woman wanted in a months-long drug trafficking investigation led by the Regina Police Service (RPS) Drug Unit. The investigation surrounded a group of people from Regina and B.C. who were believed to be involved in producing and trafficking fentanyl in Regina. Two people have been arrested, with police now searching for Cassidy Marie Arsenault, a 20-year-old from Burnaby, B.C. Investigators with the drug unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 3800 block of East Cormorant Drive on Aug. 17, 2026, following an investigation that began in May 2026. Several items were found, including: RPS says it’s believed the seizure prevented over 50,000 single doses of fentanyl from being distributed in Regina, with the approximate street value over $500,000. “Once on the street, this large amount of fentanyl would have resulted in serious harm to our community,” Kelly Trithart, superintendent in charge of the investigative service division at RPS told media on Wednesday. It’s also the first time a charge has been laid in Regina for the production of fentanyl. “Anything to do with large amounts of drugs in our city is concerning for the police service, for our public safety, and for our community,” Trithart said. “This is the fist time where we’ve seen that actual usable product is produced here.” Arsenault is charged with possessing or transporting a substance intending it will be used to produce a controlled substance, trafficking a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000. Evan Drew Silzer, 33, from Regina and Mathew Yohana, 20, from Richmond, B.C. were arrested and are facing several charges, including production of a controlled substance, trafficking a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000 and over $5,000. The men made their first court appearance on Aug. 18. Trithart said the investigation is ongoing, so does not know if there will be more charges laid. “There’s still lots of work to do on it, and so I can’t say whether or not that’ll be the case,” he said. “It’s possible, depending on the type of evidence that gets revealed as we continue on with the investigation.
