Regina police have charged a man following a break and enter at an apartment complex early Monday morning. At approximately 2:30 a.m. on April 20, 2026, police were contacted by a security company reporting suspicious activity at a building under construction in the 1700 block of Neville Drive. According to a police news release, security personnel monitoring live surveillance footage observed an adult male entering the secured property. Patrol and canine units responded to the scene. Upon arrival, officers observed the suspect exiting the building. Police say the suspect failed to comply with their demands and jumped a fence into an adjacent parking lot. A Police Service Dog (PSD) was deployed and assisted officers in locating and apprehending the suspect. During the arrest, the dog bit the suspect. He was transported to hospital and treated for injuries consistent with a dog bite. As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old man has been charged with break and enter with intent. He is scheduled to make his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on June 2, 2026.
