As part of a drug investigation, the Timmins Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant at a Main Street residence Tuesday in South Porcupine. Officers seized cocaine with a street value of more than $21,000, a 22-calibre rifle with ammunition and $50,000 cash. A 57-year-old woman was arrested following the search, police said in a news release Thursday. She was charged with trafficking, proceeds of crime over $5,000, unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm and careless storage of ammunition. No court date has been set. The Timmins Police Service said it continues to work with its policing partners to investigate drug-related offences and address illegal drug activity in the community.
