Martin Isaac and Barb Jeffrey have turned their Zurich, Ont. lawn into a Halloween extravaganza. “We’ve been doing it for the past six years. Myself and Barbara, and we collect for the Blessings Food Bank each year. It is a labor of love, for sure. And the kids just love it,” said Isaac. The displays, that range from creepy clowns to a gigantic Frankenstein, take about two weeks to put up on their property on John Street. “Just a love of Halloween, I guess. Like I said, the kids just love it. We have tours from the Catholic schools. Even the old age home comes down to see it. It’s a riot,” said Isaac. The couple adds something new each year, trying to up the ante each Halloween. “We have about 85 displays set up. We have probably 35 more in the top of the garage. We buy from a couple different stores. And then anything that doesn’t move, I build. It’s just a lot of fun,” he added. Why do they do it? Well it goes back to a life long love for Oct. 31st. “We’ve just always loved Halloween. Always. Always. So when we moved to Zurich, it was all cutesy here, and then we kind of got it right off the wall, I guess,” said Isaac.
