A residential building in Montreal’s Pierrefonds-Roxboro borough was hit by gunfire early Friday morning. Montreal police (SPVM) received several 911 calls at 1:30 a.m. about the incident on Basswood Street near Alexander Street. “When police arrived on the scene, they quickly located bullet holes in the rear door of a residential building,” said Johany Charland, a spokesperson with Montreal police. The suspects fled before officers arrived. “According to the first information, shots were fired at the building for an unknown reason,” said Charland. There have been no arrests. An investigation is ongoing with aid from the K9 unit and forensic technicians.
