Woman, 41, dies following altercation in Sherbrooke; 18-year-old arrested

A 41-year-old woman died last night after being found following a report at a residence in Sherbrooke, in the Eastern Townships.

A resident called the local police department around 9 p.m. to report a dispute at one of his neighbours’ homes.

Upon arriving at the scene, police officers discovered a seriously injured woman.

The victim was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police also arrested an 18-year-old man at the scene of the altercation.

A young girl was also found with an arm injury. She was taken to a hospital, and her life is not in danger.

The investigation was ongoing overnight to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
