High Falls Road in Bracebridge has been shut down after a truck was allegedly struck by an Ontario Northlander train on Thursday. It happened at around 1:45 p.m. at a level crossing. The road is closed from Manitoba Street to just east of the train tracks. While the train is not blocking the road, it will likely stay closed to remove the vehicle, according to the town’s fire officials. Ontario Northland says the collision took place during staff onboarding and training with only staff on board. No injuries have been reported on the train. Bracebridge OPP is asking drivers to plan alternate routes. The investigation is ongoing.
