Provincial police have found a 79-year-old man safe after he had been missing for nearly a week after last being seen in Drummondville, Que. Sûreté du Québec (SQ) announced Saturday afternoon that the Sliver Alert issued for Jean-Claude Beaudette had been lifted. “The person has been found safe and sound in the La Malbaie area. He has been taken to hospital to receive appropriate care,” the press release reads. The Sliver Alert was issued on Oct. 30. Police wrote in the alert that Beaudette may have been disorientated and expressed concerns for his health and safety. Beaudette was last seen at his home on Lafontaine Street in Drummondville on Oct. 25. He was reportedly spotted in the Sorel-Tracy area of the Montérégie region on Oct. 29. He was travelling by car.
