Montreal police were called to a home in Dollard-des-Ormeaux Friday night for a suspected case of arson after a car was torched in a residential driveway. Police received a 911 call at around 10 p.m. about a car on fire at the home on Papillon Street, near Hyman Street. When officers arrived on scene, firefighters were already there extinguishing the fire. No traces of accelerant were found at the scene, according to police spokesperson Raphael Bergeron. “However, there were some indications that led us to believe it was criminal,” he added. No arrests were made and no suspects were identified, but police are looking at surveillance camera footage for clues. The investigation is ongoing.
