A man is in critical condition after veering off the road while riding an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) in Ferme-Neuve in Quebec’s Laurentians. The incident occurred at 7:30 p.m. in the town of 2,716 residents, after the man lost control of his ATV, said Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Béatrice Dorsainville. Authorities responded to Lac Major Road in Ferme-Neuve, north of Mont-Laurier. The victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in critical condition. He was the only person involved in the crash. An investigation is underway to determine what caused the vehicle to veer off the road.
