Essex County OPP say a member of the Windsor Police Service is facing additional charges related to an ongoing investigation. In August 2023, Windsor police requested that the OPP investigate allegations of breach of trust involving a WPS officer. An investigation began, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch. In April 2026, an initial charge of breach of trust, contrary to section 122 of the Criminal Code was laid in relation to the investigation. As part of the ongoing investigation, on Aug. 28, Kenneth Campo, 45, of Essex County, was charged with the following additional offences under the CC: The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
