Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue across the region over the next couple of days, with muggy conditions making it feel like the mid-30s Wednesday. CTV News Meteorologist Julie Atchison says some fog and cloud cover will start the day before showers and thunderstorms develop in the afternoon. “Not widespread, but we will see some pop-up showers in and around the area,” Atchison said. The temperature is expected to reach 26 C Wednesday, with humidex values making it feel closer to the mid-30s. The unsettled weather will continue into Thursday, with a 40 per cent chance of showers and the possibility of a thunderstorm. Temperatures are expected to climb to around 28 C. “Scattered showers and thunderstorms will linger over the next couple of days before clearing on Friday,” Atchison said. Friday will bring a mix of sun and cloud, with temperatures reaching about 26 C. The weekend will remain mostly comfortable, with plenty of sunshine Saturday and a chance of light rain Sunday. The high is expected to reach 26 C. The forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud Monday and Tuesday, with daytime highs around 24 C.
