A house in Duncan is a write-off after fire broke out Thursday afternoon.
Crews responded to flames at a home across from the Duncan Meadows Golf Course, along the Cowichan Valley Highway, at around 4:30 p.m.
One occupant of the home managed to escape and there were no other reports of injuries.
More than 25 firefighters battled the blaze, including crews from Duncan and Sahtlam fire departments.
The fire appears to have sparked in the home’s garage.
The cause is still under investigation.
