Here come the Lions. The Edmonton Elks will face their division rivals from B.C. after the Vancouver-based club defeated the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday afternoon in the West semifinal. The Lions, who finished second in the West Division with a 10-8 record, will travel to Edmonton for the West final on Nov. 7. The 13-5 Elks earned a first-round bye after finishing atop the division. Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke threw for 366 yards as B.C. rallied from a 17-3 deficit to defeat the visiting Roughriders 33-26 at B.C. Place Stadium. The Lions trailed the defending Grey Cup champions midway through the second quarter before mounting their comeback in the third and taking control in the fourth. Rourke completed 21 of 32 pass attempts, including touchdown passes to Jevon Cottoy and Stanley Berryhill III. Kicker Sean Whyte added four field goals, including a 48-yarder, as B.C. eliminated Saskatchewan from the playoffs. Roughriders quarterback Trevor Harris threw for 255 yards and an interception. Saskatchewan had eliminated the Lions from the playoffs in both 2024 and 2025. The winner of next weekend’s West final will advance to the Grey Cup on Nov. 15 in Calgary. The East final matchup was also set Saturday. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers rallied to stun the Toronto Argonauts 25-22 and will travel to Montreal next week to face the 14-4 Alouettes. The Elks last reached the playoffs in 2019 as the crossover team. They defeated Montreal in the East Division semifinal before falling to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the division final.
