One of the men charged in the fatal shooting at the Ertale Lounge in 2022 has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. Said Ibrahim was initially charged with first-degree murder along with Mohamod Mohamod, and a Canada-wide warrant was issued for Saed Osman, in the mass shooting that killed one person and injured several others. Alinur Mohamed Mussa was charged with firearms charges in connection with the shooting. On Wednesday Ibrahim pleaded guilty to the lesser charge. On March 12, 2022, four men opened fire at the Ertale Lounge in the area of 118 Avenue and 124 Street. More than 60 shots were fired, resulting in the death of Imbert George, 28. Mohamod was found guilty of first-degree murder in George’s death in November. Osman is still at large. Mussa was shot and killed in a daylight shooting in north Edmonton in February. A sentencing date for Ibrahim will be set in September.
