Mounties on the Alberta-Saskatchewan border are investigating the death of a dog named Sable in her backyard. Sable was found dead on Sept. 10 just before 6 p.m. RCMP say her body was covered in puncture wounds in several areas. An autopsy has been scheduled to reveal the cause of Sable’s death. Nearby residents told investigators they heard multiple dogs in the area begin barking around 4:30 p.m., but Mounties are still seeking footage of the area around 39 Street, 43 Street, 47 Avenue and 50 Avenue, especially around 41 Street. Anyone with information about Sable’s death is asked to contact Lloydminster RCMP at 780-808-8300 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
