Macaulay Culkin and “Schitt’s Creek” stars Dan Levy and Annie Murphy paid tribute to Catherine O’Hara at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Monday night. Culkin, who played O’Hara’s son in the “Home Alone” movie series, described his on-screen mother as encouraging, warm and funny. “She always showed up when I asked her to — because that was Catherine. That’s what she did,” Culkin said. “And this is the best we can do for her tonight. We’re showing up for her. So she may have forgotten me — twice — but we will always remember her.” Spanning decades, O’Hara’s career included prominent roles in the sketch series “SCTV” and the hit Canadian sitcom “Schitt’s Creek.” The Toronto-born actor and comedian died on Jan. 30 at age 71.
