Sit back, put your feet up and enjoy the show – that’s the movie experience Cineplex Odeon wants Victoria movie-lovers to have come the new year.
Cineplex Entertainment, which owns Cineplex Odeon Victoria, announced the theatre on Yates Street will get a seating overhaul.
Seats in all seven theatres will be replaced with high-back, extra wide recliners that lay back at the touch of a button.
The installation will happen in one auditorium at a time, so the theatre will remain open during renovations.
The concept has been implemented at select Cineplex theatres across the country.
Construction began this week and is expected to be completed by early next year.
