A portion of Tsuut’ina Trail southbound was closed Friday evening for a single-vehicle crash that trapped its driver inside, police say. As of 8 p.m. Friday, YYC Transportation says the southbound left lane of the highway approaching 90 Avenue SW was blocked off as emergency crews responded. Calgary police said the vehicle struck a light standard. Fire crews worked to extricate the adult occupant. Just before 9 p.m., EMS confirmed the driver was a man in potentially life-threatening condition who was transported to Foothills Medical Centre.
