Residents in Caledon are being asked to stay alert after multiple community mailboxes were damaged last week, police say. Last Friday, officers responded to reports of damaged mailboxes near Matson Drive and Mount Hope Road. Investigators believe the alleged vandalism took place sometime between last Thursday and last Friday in the quiet residential areas. Police have not confirmed whether any mail or packages were stolen and no suspects have been tied to this incident. Officers are asking anyone with home security footage of the crime to contact Caledon OPP. Everyone is reminded to check their mailboxes daily, avoid sending cash through the mail, report missing important mail and call police if they notice suspicious activity around community mailboxes.
