Whether you’re heading out for the final Troubadour Summer concert of the season, soaking up the sun at the cottage or hanging out at home, you’re in for a variety of weather this weekend. While Saturday got off to a sunny start, clouds will start to roll in, according to Environment Canada. The national weather centre says there’s a 30 per cent chance of showers with the possibility of a thunderstorm. You’ll want your hat and sunscreen even with a cloudy sky as the UV index will be 6 or high. A bit of a breeze could keep you cool with northwest winds around 20 to 40 kilometres per hour as the temperature gets up to a high of 25 C. Keep a water bottle handy as the humidity will make it feel warmer than that at 31 C. That chance of showers will increase into the evening with a 60 per cent chance and risk of a thunderstorm, with the temperature dipping to 17 C. Sunday will feel much cooler with a high of only 21 C, but the sun will make a return with clouds mixed in and still that small chance of showers. Wind will pick up a little more gusting at speeds between 30 to 50 kilometres per hour from the northwest once again. The UV index will drop a little bit to a 5 or moderate. Cooling down quite significantly in the evening, we will see a single-digit low of 8 C, clouds and a 40 per cent chance of showers.
